BRIAN (DINNY) DINSDALE - biographyDinny and The All Stars at the Brogue Dinny is based in Port Credit, Ontatio, he has been playing dixieland style jazz trumpet and singing jazz numbers for over 25 years. His boisterous antics and love of jazz shines on stage. He actively promotes jazz awareness and is both well known and well loved within the Ontario jazz community. Brian Dinsdale, aka Dinny, was born in Vancouver, BC. His father encouraged him to play his brothers' cornet, the family often played together. In his teens Dinny played with schools bands, The Kitsilano Boys Band (Vancouver) and the 15th Field Artillery Regiment alongside his father. Dinnys' love of classic, traditional and dixie land jazz started when he was working in Montreal. The rest as they say is history. Over the years Dinny has played with Taking his inspiration from 1930's tunes. Dinny assembled band members to play these tunes as well as other traditional jazz, swing and the blues standards with him, performing as Dinny and The All Stars. |
