RON (PEE WEE) JOSEPH - biography
Ronny is from "Rome" in upstate New York. He is a regular clarinet player with Ray Skalski's "Jambalaya Jazz Band" (Buffalo, NY) and with trad jazz group "Dinny Dinsdale and the All Stars" at The Lancaster Jazz Club's weekly jazz event held at the Lancaster Inn in Kitchener, Ontario. Ron combines the styles of his mentor Maheu with Davern, Hucko and Hall and Pee Wee Ellis to produce his own unique sound. Ron is currently working with accomplished Toronto jazz pianist Jordan Klapman on a recording project which was tentatively scheduled to be out in late spring of 2009. Ron greatly admired Eddy Condon and his influence can be heard in Ron's musical style.
